2013 AGM – Celebrating 30 years of PAD: Continuity, Collaboration and Change


You are cordially invited to the  2013 Annual General Meeting of Parent Action on Drugs in celebration of PAD’s 30th Anniversary 

Date:  Monday, September 30, 2013

Time: 6:30 p.m. for Supper / 7:00 p.m. Program

Place: North York Memorial Community Hall, Burgundy Room; 5110 Yonge Street, Toronto

Evening program to include:

  • 30 years of PAD – a retrospective
  • Launch of PAD’s new website and new “Parent Action Pack”
  • Guest Speaker: Karen Stewart


Karen Stewart is a lawyer with a passion for clients and continuous learning.  Her law career spans a variety of position in immigration and criminal law.  She is currently a duty counsel lawyer at the Scarborough Court.  Karen’s involvement with PAD spans well over two decades.   As a grade 11 student she was a peer leader with PAD’s Peer Education Program.  In 2012, Karen became reacquainted with PAD as a Board Member of an organization that partnered with PAD to deliver the Strengthening Families for Parents and Youth (SFPY) program and participated in the 9 –week program with her 13 year old daughter.  Karen will speak on Continuity, Collaboration & Change.
